I have been training with Eric for about 5 months. I am so much stronger now and my endurance has improved to the point that I can do several hours of yard work without injuring my back. Last weekend I was planning on going on a 3 or 4 mile hike that turned into an 8 mile hike because of a couple of wrong turns. In addition to that I have noticed a drastic improvement in my balance.

Eric is informative and breaks down each exercise, movement and shows proper technique while explaining which muscles are (or should be) engaging in each exercise. He is well prepared and plans out his sessions to get the maximum benefit of the movements in progression, to efficiently work muscle groups or full body. He is super supportive. He always asks how I am doing and how I am feeling and looks for small tips that I can focus on to make progress toward my goals. He encourages me when I am doing well and he pushes me just the right amount. He gets me to do extra reps when I don't think I can. He allows open and honest dialog and makes training fun. He understands the challenges women face - or the challenges I face with age - and acknowledges them without allowing me to give up. He calls me out on my excuses with just a look that lets me know he isn't buying what I am selling, but doesn't make me feel bad about it. Eric is a combination trainer/therapist/mentor/cheerleader/coach. He helped remind me that I am an athlete and it really struck home with me. I had been an athlete most of my life but had decided that part of my life was over and that now I was more of a participant. But when he told me that, I went right back to the athlete mentality and Eric was my coach. He has provided the strategy and instruction and I executed his direction, or at least tried to, with every movement. I had a fire in me when I was an athlete and I need to remember that I still am one. Eric saw the athlete inside of me, even when I couldn't.

He has helped me learn that food is fuel and that food intake is the most important thing when it comes to weight loss. And the supplementation he has recommended helps me get all the proper nutrients that my body needs to run better and recover quicker. I pay attention to what type of food I am putting into my body and not just the calories.

Physical fitness is just part of the equation though - I have a more positive outlook and more energy too. I wore a 2 piece swimsuit for the first time in my life last weekend, so I would say that I have a lot more body positivity than when we started training. He has also connected me with other like-minded supportive women to create a really cool workout group that I really look forward to. I wish he could work 24/7 and replicate himself so that he had more training sessions available.

My relationship with Eric is serious when necessary but also lighthearted and fun. He makes me excited to workout, because it is an enjoyable experience while also extremely challenging. I know that he really wants to help me succeed.

Eric is such a great trainer and is in such high demand that I wouldn't want to recommend him because he would be too busy.... but yes, I would definitely recommend him as a personal trainer.

I have been meeting with Eric for 16 months. He is very friendly and enthusiastic. He has a clear passion for helping people reach their goals and improve their lives. He was willing to work with some of my preferences while encouraging me to push my boundaries. Since training with him I have become more flexible and can do everyday tasks with greater ease. My strength and endurance have also increased. Especially my cardio health, which I had badly neglected.

When it comes to food intake I have learned that macros are key. Eric introduced me to resources that enabled me to be cognizant of what eating a healthy, balanced and nutrient rich diet is, and how I could fix it. I remember having to go on a drastic calorie deficit one month, just to prove that my diet was the major factor that had been keeping me from accomplishing my fat loss goal.

So many of my clothes don't even fit any more - they’re too big! When I see people that I haven't seen in a while, they can't believe how good of shape I'm in! Overall I just feel more confident and capable and have less self doubt. I no longer worry that my former bad habits will have negative effects on my future.

Reaching my goal has definitely taken a collaborative effort. I would enthusiastically recommend Eric as a personal trainer.

I have been training with Eric for a little over a year. He is a good listener and I feel as though I am able to express my thoughts openly to him. He really helps me understand what I’m doing and why I am working on a particular exercise. Plus he always believes I can do more than what I believe I am able to do. For example, when I don’t think I could squat any lower, he says “lower” and somehow I manage to do it! I feel much stronger and can lift more than I ever thought I could. When I don’t think I can do a particular exercise, I have learned to continue and push through or if it’s hurting, he’ll modify the exercise for me. His training, and keeping me consistent, has really helped. I am able to balance better (not perfect yet) with our workouts focused on core and stability.

He has taught me a lot when it comes to food intake and supplementation. Although a little snack like popcorn isn’t necessarily bad, I have learned that even those calories can add up quickly and make a difference on the fat loss journey. I have also learned how supplements are vital to reaching and maintaining goals. Now I never miss taking them.

Working out is about more than physical fitness. When I don’t feel like working out and decide that I am going to push through it, I’m always glad I did it because it clears my head and takes away stress. I’m at the gym for other classes as well as personal training sessions with Eric. He makes me feel comfortable at the gym and will listen to anything, even my horrible jokes!

One of the most memorable moments during our time training was when I won the participation award in GYFT. We worked out prior to the finale and he said he really noticed I had a waistline! I didn’t think I had lost much weight but I was down over 17 pounds! I really enjoy seeing my body transform and lifting heavier weights. And when I do exactly what he recommends, I see the results!

I began training with Eric and am still training with him twice a week. He is like a Physician/Counselor Personal Trainer!  He listens well, he is kind, thoughtful, and mindful of his client’s needs and goals and strives to help his clients achieve their physical goals with a focus on crafting workouts that increase mobility, power, speed, and strength. He understands my personal goals of strengthening my core, gaining more muscle, and reducing fat and has helped instruct me on how to eat right, train the right way, and maintain an overall healthy lifestyle. I used to be inconsistent with supplements. But now I am taking the proper supplements at the correct times.

Eric is constantly giving me the push I need over the edge. He understands the mental roadblocks, like plateaus that challenge me or temporarily keep me from reaching goals and is constantly asking me questions to make sure I am aware of those roadblocks. I was participating in a Gyft challenge and had been working hard and when I weighed in and had actually gained weight - I almost cried, I was so upset! Eric counseled me on several reasons why I could have weight gain. He then went over nutrition with me and even gave me examples of how female hormones play a part in weight fluctuation using his beloved wife’s experiences. He put me through a vigorous workout, gave me a pep talk and off I went! Two weeks later at the next weigh in I had dropped over 12 pounds!

Not only has he crafted the right nutrition and training program that has helped me reshape my physical self and mindset, but he has prepared me to achieve the lifestyle goals I desire. One of the best things about him is that he really truly cares about his client’s success.

Before I started working with Eric, I was unable to perform movements like squats and lunges. He incorporated mobility and stretching exercises, which included stretching exercises which helped loosen up my tight joints and muscles. Now I am able to perform full movement squatting and lunging exercises. And while I have always been strong, my strength has increased substantially since working with Eric. We have worked on high intensity interval training in conjunction with heavier weight training that has challenged me to work harder and push myself. I feel like my physical strength and endurance has doubled since working with him which has helped me to develop strength, muscle tone, and an increased metabolism.

Although I would love to get to my fitness goals in one day (which I often complain to Eric about) his style of training has helped me achieve some monumental goals in my struggle to lose weight and get in the best physical shape possible. My body fat percentage is down dramatically which has helped me avoid Type 2 Diabetes medication all together. At 53 years old, I look and feel amazing. I went from a xl large to a medium and lost over 40 pounds. I have increased energy and stamina, which helps me maintain an active lifestyle.

Eric is like family - we have a great time during our sessions. I could not have achieved the success I have without his support and help. Because of that I am more accountable to myself and have more discipline and in addition have found comradery amongst other gym goers by participating in GYFT.

I would absolutely recommend working with Eric - he helps his clients get results! It has been worth every penny to have him train, coach, and advise me on living a healthy lifestyle. I am stronger, healthier, and happier than ever!

‘I have been training with Eric for about 14 months. When I first started I was terrified to do a squat because of how my knees felt but now I am able to do loaded split squats and other exercises I never thought possible. In general, I am able to get through most days pain free and I’ve even run on the treadmill which I never thought I would do before training with him. My strength and endurance has also made a huge improvement. I used to get exhausted when doing 30 minute workouts but  now I am able to complete 60 plus minutes and still have energy to keep going. One of my goals when we first started training together was to be able to do a push up. I am happy to say that I can now do that as well as hiking, walking long distances and doing various activities without having any major knee or back pain. I remember a time when I took my kids to the zoo and was is so much pain by the end of the day that I ended up in urgent care! Working out has also become a big stress reliever and is something that I really enjoy doing. It has helped me regain a lot of my self-confidence. He really cares about his clients and takes the time to build a plan around each person. Although my  health issues and injuries have made things difficult at times, he has done a great job working around them and/or helping me to rehab them. Eric is a lot of fun to work with too - he's very positive, upbeat and is a great motivator. He also helped educate me on the importance of food intake and supplementation and how to put a lot of it into practice. I now have the discipline to stop eating when I am full and notice that I don’t snack as much.

Eric is a great trainer and has become a great friend. We joke around and have great conversations - he is super supportive. Although we don’t train as often as before, I have gained a lot of knowledge and am able to do a lot on my own. I have had a great experience with him and would do it a million times over. I would 100% recommend Eric as a your personal trainer.’
